NAi Debates on Tour: Unbuilt Prishtina

On 25th of Februarary 2010, the NAi (Netherlands Architecture Institute) teamed up with Archis Interventions, hosted the debate “Unbuilt Prishtina” featuring Marcel Musch from BVR Adviseurs, Ruimtelijke Ontwikkelin and Wilma Ruis from De Beuk organisatieadvies, and a panel of representatives of the Municipality of Prishtina, members of the Association of Architects of Kosova and the archiEDU Students’ Network.

Very, very, very… bad lecture by the first lecturer, crash-course in urbanism with Jane Jacobs, the second lecturer doesn’t even deserve to talk about…. and the third one, at least made some sense, but really those “summer houses” on top of buildings are interesting?!? he missed the whole point with the MVRDV project and the comparison…. The most interesting thing was that the best comment during the conference was made by a non-architect bravo… and to my fellow “urban enthusiasts” no one mentioned the sprawls around Prishtina….
this “debate”,strangely enough,leads us to conclude that:
it’s good to know that you have these kind on “professionals” working in Holland-first lecturer.
…..-second lecturer.
If you knew better you would still be Volume’s editor or something like that :-)-third lecturer.
Kosovan architects were too nice to the guests….
